Training day - up to 4 persons
These take place in Gloucestershire at various dates throughout the year. This full 1 day course concentrates on the practical skills required to "do a gig". From set-up and placement through to sound checking, EQ and basic effects. A professional sound system and live band will be booked to learn with.
Course fee £150
Sound system evaluation and training - one to one
I can visit your location and perform a full 1 day training, using your sound system. This includes a system consultation and diagnosis to ensure the maximum potential of your setup is achieved to meet your needs. Very often sound systems are missing one or two vital components which can reduce the overall quality.
Course fee £150 plus travel costs.
Two day training including Health and Safety Qualification - up to 4 persons
At select dates throughout the year I will be running a two day training course. This consists of 1 full day live sound training as above, followed by a 1 day training in health and safety in the workplace. At the end of this training participants will sit an exam to attempt to obtain a 'Chartered Institute of Environmental Health Certificate - Health and Safety in the Workplace'.
Course Fee £250 including all examination fees
Advanced Sound Engineering Course - one to one
Aimed at sound engineers wishing to take their skills to the next level. This 1 day course covers topics such as gates and compressors, advanced effects programming techniques, delay lines, sub bass components and configurations of a sound system. This course also takes a closer look at the finer points of engineering in order to "clean up" the mix.
